How to form the letter R
Capital R is a P with one extra leg kicking out at the bottom right. Lowercase r is a short line down, then a tiny curve at the top.
What to watch for
The curve on lowercase r is small and does not come back down to the line.
Words to say while tracing
Saying a word that starts with the shape, while the pencil is moving, links the letter to a sound instead of leaving it an abstract squiggle. Try rain, rabbit and red.
