How to form the letter B
Capital B is one straight line down, then two bumps to the right, top then bottom. Lowercase b is a tall line down, then one bump on the right at the bottom.
What to watch for
b and d get swapped constantly. Say "b has its tummy at the front, after the line" while tracing.
Words to say while tracing
Saying a word that starts with the shape, while the pencil is moving, links the letter to a sound instead of leaving it an abstract squiggle. Try ball, bus and butterfly.
