How to form the letter F
Capital F is a line down with two bars going right: one at the top, one in the middle. Lowercase f is a curve at the top, a line down, then a small bar across.
What to watch for
The middle bar on F sits above the halfway point, not at the bottom.
Words to say while tracing
Saying a word that starts with the shape, while the pencil is moving, links the letter to a sound instead of leaving it an abstract squiggle. Try fish, frog and flower.
