How to form the letter H
Capital H is two straight lines down with one bar joining them in the middle. Lowercase h is a tall line down, then up a little and over into a bump.
What to watch for
h and n look the same to a child. h has the tall line, n does not.
Words to say while tracing
Saying a word that starts with the shape, while the pencil is moving, links the letter to a sound instead of leaving it an abstract squiggle. Try hat, house and horse.
