How to form the letter Z
A bar across the top, a slant down to the left, then a bar across the bottom. Both sizes are the same shape.
What to watch for
Z is often reversed. Trace it while saying "across, down, across" to lock the direction in.
Words to say while tracing
Saying a word that starts with the shape, while the pencil is moving, links the letter to a sound instead of leaving it an abstract squiggle. Try zoo, zebra and zip.
